FSC & PEFC Certification for timber requires all timber to be obtained from sustainably managed forests. These forests need to be certified as per Forest Management certification requirement of the required standards. The trees fell, are sent to the sawmills, and further traded by timber traders, a FSC CoC certification to each of these business processes would ensure legality and sustainable sources of the wood.
