Indonesian National Standard Approved
The national forest stewardship standard (NFSS) for Indonesia will be effective by 1 December 2020. Members of the Indonesian national standard development group developed the standard based on their consensus. The consultancy groups Lembaga Ekolabel Indonesia and Asia Pacific Consulting Solutions facilitated the development group. The standard is a comprehensive tool for the promotion of responsible forest management in Indonesia.
This standard is applicable to all forest operations and forest types. It includes some non-timber-forest products as well, which are listed in the standard.
The national forest stewardship standard for Indonesia (only available in English) can be consulted in the FSC Document Center. Read more on Indonesian National Standard.
