Mandatory transaction verification of the bamboo supply chain

Mandatory transaction verification of the bamboo supply chain will be introduced in the second half of 2017, due to discoveries of inaccuracies.

Following allegations of inaccuracies in the bamboo supply chain, ASI, in collaboration with certification bodies and certificate holders, launched a comprehensive investigation. This investigation revealed a substantial number of inaccurate claims in some of the supply chains, prompting FSC to take action.

Transaction verification is a process of comparing and then verifying all transactions within a specific product type, group or region over a given time period. Affected certificate holders will have a number of verification mechanisms to choose from. Read more…
