National Risk Assessment for Australia Revised

National Risk Assessment for Australia Revised

The National Risk Assessment for Australia has undergone minor revisions regarding high conservation values (HCVs). These changes include updates to control measures for HCV 4 and HCV 6, and an added description for a mandatory control measure for HCV 1 in the HCV Framework Assessment. The HCV Framework Assessment also now includes a reference to guidance for forest managers on HCVs.

In practice, these changes are unlikely to impact certificate holders in any significant way, as they were made only to provide clarity and align parts of the Australian National Risk Assessment.
